I have specialized training and experience to help people struggling with addictions, mood disorders, phase of life issues, grief, anger, trauma... and the combinations therein. Some goals are to feel better, to have better relationships, to protect yourself with healthy boundaries, to find or keep sobriety... but really the most important goals are the ones that you select for our work together.
I work to help people find and build their existing strengths; some might have been forgotten or not even fully realized yet. If indicated, I will use some specific assessment tools and corresponding treatment approaches, based in research and also experience. I continue to learn from clients what likely helps, and what does not.
